What is web development?

Using a programming language to form the structures and manage the flow of data and user interactions on the site, a website is made up of two main sections.

Web development is the process of turning a visual prototype of your website into actual files that are presented through a web browser. It requires creating the HTML and CSS markup code, and the Javascript code to display the pages, using a programming language to form the structures and manage the flow of data and user interactions on the site. Then, once created, it involves uploading the files to the web hosting platform and connecting it to the domain name.

A website is made up of two main sections: the front end and the back end. The front end is the visual aspect of the site, it’s what the user sees and interacts with when they go to your website. The back end is where all the data is stored for your site. It contains the functionality needed to allow the user to interact with your site.

What should I use for my website?

Today, most websites use a content management system (CMS). A CMS combines both the front end and the back end into a single system, allowing website owners to easily manage and maintain their website. The most common website CMS is WordPress.

A WordPress website will use themes and plugins to help build the final version of your website. There are thousands of themes and plugins to choose from that any form of website is now possible, it’s up to you to decide which type of website you want.
